What was the highlight of Hapimag Resort Damnoni
this is the first and last time in Hapimag
We liked the location. The staff who took our luggage back and from the room was very friendly, they were the only friendly people we met at this hotel.
The welcome at the reception was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We were given a room with no sea views where as we booked a superior apartment which clearly mentions sea views in the description. The hotel eventually gave us another room but we were told that "even the members receive no rooms with sea views" (??). We were charged to park the car (they call it garage, it was a simple bamboo cover where we had to do manoeuvres to fit the car - too far from the reception). There was no Internet. The rooms are up a hill and the hotel does not provide transport. There was no room service (4 people in a room and no clean towels?), very very basic toiletries in the bathroom (one small shower gel and one shampoo, not replaced during our stay). There was no washing machine nor tumble dryer as described. The life guard at the pool would not let us take a sunbed because we are Greeks and he thought we were lying when we said we are staying at the hotel. They gave us syrup instead of fresh orange juice at breakfast because we just ordered "juice" instead of "natural juice" (!!??). The hotel really did not correspond to the description on booking.com. We have travelled a lot but this is from far the worse hotel we have ever stayed in, the price doesn't correspond with the services offered. And to make it complete: everything was in German, even the bills! We are in Greece people, we speak Greek here!!! Or at least English!
